The HotSpring family of spas are backed by Watkins Manufacturing, a company that goes well beyond where many others leave off. Its commitment to customer satisfaction, both to the dealers and the consumers, leaves no doubt why the Hot Spring name carries such a great reputation.

As with all appliances, sometimes there arises a need to troubleshoot problems that come up, and this area will help with what to do when you have a question.

Before calling for in-warranty service.

Before calling our office for service, be sure to consult your spa owners manual for possible causes and solutions. Often times, the problem is a simple maintenance issue that can easily be preformed by you, enabling the spa to be up and running immediately.

Calling the office for service.

You've checked everything that's listed in the owner's manual, and still haven't fixed the problem. Time to give us a call at 1-800-368-7777. Someone at our office may ask you to try certain procedures before sending out a service tech. You can email your request to the service dept. 

The reason for this is twofold. One, the manufacturer only warrants defects in workmanship, not issues such as dirty filters, low water levels and resetting buttons. The second reason we ask you to go through these procedures is so that you don't get charged with unnecessary labor fees if we send a man out to perform non-warranty procedures.
Please keep in mind that we only service spas we have sold in our area, which is southern California.

Out of warranty service

We will be happy to service your HotSpring® spa after the warranty has expired. We only use factory parts and our service techs are factory-trained to pinpoint the problem in the shortest amount of time.

Please have a serial number or date of delivery handy when you call in. While these aren't mandatory, they help us prepare parts for the service call to run smoothly.

Service at your home

We usually give a 4 hour time span when the service tech should show up. We realize your time is valuable, and make every effort to show up in that span. Occasionally, we run later than expected (due to unforeseen lengthy repairs.) We call whenever possible to keep you updated in that circumstance.

Please have the spa area cleared of debris, especially pet droppings, in anticipation of the service tech. Remember to unlock gates if you aren't going to be there.

Billing

If the spa is not under warranty, the service tech will give an estimate of repairs before starting work. You are responsible for a basic service call whether or not you choose to have repairs made. This varies by location. Please be prepared to pay the service tech on completion of repairs, either by cash, check or charge. You may use your AquaVantage account, also. We do not leave bills.
